NCAA Football STB Top 25 - Week 2

Wow! What an opening week in college football--especially for non-BCS conferences! Boise State took down Oregon in a big win for the WAC against another ranked BCS conference school. The Utes extended their win streak, beating Utah State 35-17. Then of course came Saturday and the whole country enjoyed a gift from the Mountain West when BYU shocked the world in defeating last year's runner-up Oklahoma 14-13 in Cowboy stadium. The BCS should have more problems this year than ever. Just look at the new STB rankings!

  1. After losing a tightend and their quarterback, I personally think that Oklahoma is done for the season. BYU will be the BCS buster.

  2. Rise and Shout :) Man, I love college football!!! First, let me give the Cougars a mighty pat on the back for their HUGE victory on Saturday. I thought they had no chance going in, but I was very impressed by their performance and they certainly deserve a lot of credit for just absolutely man-handling the Sooners. Based on the defensive performance in the first half, I think the Cougars win even if Bradford and Gresham played. And yes, Cougar fans, I know Harvey Unga didnt play :)As for the rest of the college football world:
1- I think it is time that the Major Media outlets FINALLY admit that the Big 10 is a joke and that Ohio St and Penn St just cannot compete with the "big boys". There is no reason that the Buckeyes need to stop a two-point, in the Horseshoe, against NAVY to preserve a victory. I hope THE USC Trojans completely destroy Ohio St on Saturday. Please retire, Joe Paterno. We are all proud of your accomplishments, but the act is getting old.
And last, but certainly not least, how about the U. And by that I mean the mighty Utes as well as the Hurricanes. 15 wins in a row for the boys on the hill (even though the victory against USU was less than impressive) and thank you to the University of Miami for winning a big-time football game again. College Football as a whole is better when the jailbirds in Orange and Green are winning. Here is my Top 25
